We’ve only heard snippets so far of what Z², the sequel to Devin Townsend’s Ziltoid the Omniscient may sound like. Clearly an ambitious project, the project consists of a double album, a series of internet videos detailing Ziltoid’s backstory and, next year, an extravagant performance of the album at the Royal Albert Hall.
But with the leak of “Universal Flame,” we’re finally hearing our first full song from the release. The track is taken from the first disc, Sky Blue, which consists of songs by the Devin Townsend Project, with the main plot being featured on the second disc, Dark Matters. While many fans will no doubt be anxious to hear what the beloved, coffee-loving alien is up to, this track will certainly satisfy them until more material is officially released.
